Parents - Fundraising

Lara Primary School runs a range of regular fund raisers to support the school such as providing services for the students like Mothers’ Day and Fathers’ Day stalls. The Junior School Council are involved in some fundraising for charity organizations, and determine the charities they will contribute to collaboratively early each year.

In 2016 we held a 'Mini Mudder' fundraiser to raise money to refresh the grade 3/4 play space.  The event was a huge success and raised over $10,000!  Thanks to all of the supporters of the 'Mini Mudder' Event.


School Council raised $3300 by holding a Trivia night.  It was a fantastic evening with many members of our community commenting on such a great event.  

Lara Primary School Friends held a Family Fun Day in November 2015!It was a great day enjoyed by students, families and the whole community.

In 2014 we held a 'Mini Mudder' fundraiser to raise money to replace stolen music equipment.  The event was a huge success and raised almost $15,000!  Thanks to all of the supporters of the 'Mini Mudder' Event.

In 2013, thanks to City of Greater Geelong and the Lions Club Lara, we were able to install a shade sail in our grade 5/6 area.  We would like to thank our community for supporting Lara Primary School

In 2012, thanks to Lara Community District bank, City of Greater Geelong, LP Communications and the Lara Hotel, we were able to install a shade sail in our grade 2 area.  We would like to thank our community for supporting Lara Primary School


 



Making a Gift

Our students experience at school has benefited from the support and donations from our local community.  This support comes in the form of time, experience and donations of materials and money, used to improve the school equipment and facilities.
