| Junior School Council
It was a good news story at our school assembly on Friday, 24th July. A combined fund-raising effort by Lara P. S. Junior School Council and a valuable contribution from the Lara Lions Club enabled the purchase of a special trike for a local child. The idea to help someone from our local community was brought to the school’s Junior School Council meeting by Emma M (now a year 7 student). Emma was also present at this school assembly. Our school held an out of uniform day to raise funds for Buster so that he will be able to move around more easily. The specially designed trike was recommended by Buster’s physiotherapist. Les Kelly (immediate past president of Lara Lions) assisted with the presentation to Buster and his family. A huge thank you to the Lara Primary School students and the Lara Lions.
