Sun protection is recommended whenever UV levels are three or higher. Average UV levels in Victoria are three or higher from mid-August so it’s time to dust off the sun protection gear and not wait until term four.

  • 2.During the sun protection times, please remember to:
  • Slip on covering clothing
  • Slop on SPF30 (or higher) broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen. Remember to reapply throughout the day.
  • Slap on a wide-brimmed hat that shades the face, neck and ears
  • Seek shade
  • Slide on wrap-around sunglasses (labelled AS 1067) if practical
