Technology is used extensively at Lara Primary School with students in grades 5 & 6 working in a 1:1 learning environment, each having access to their own personal mobile device.
To assist their peers, each grade has two techsperts, students who are capable and ethical technology users and who enjoy helping their classmates.
Techspert duties include:
• Working with technicians to gain an appreciation of potential problems
• Troubleshooting and assisting peers
• Supporting teachers
• Caring for equipment.
• Modelling good I.C.T. behaviours.
Guided by I.C.T. staff, these young leaders are dedicated to inventive and safe technology practices and behaviours.
