Welcome to Lara Primary School.

As a parent who has two children at Lara primary, I am proud to welcome you all to our school. The school itself may seem a little hidden from the entrance off Flinders Avenue, but when you make your way down the driveway, we have an abundance of space and many different areas in which our children can play and learn.

As parents, we play a vital role in the upbringing of our children and the school council has an important function in the governance of the school and its standing in the Lara community. We are a team of engaged parents and teachers wanting to contribute to the school and the wider community, making it a wonderful place to be. Along with the usual school governance functions, this year we will be spending time organising working bee's to keep our playgrounds & surrounding areas looking beautiful. I encourage you all to come along and help keep the school grounds in good condition. We will also be organising fundraising events which is a great way to ensure playground equipment can be maintained and upgraded in the future.
These activities are a fantastic way to meet new people and contribute the school, it is us as a community that makes the school a great place for our kids to grow into responsible teenagers and eventually to be great adults.
