The Lara PS School Breakfast Club is an optional program that provides a welcoming space for students to fuel their bodies before starting school for the day. It is accessible for all students. The program aids to remove the barrier to learning when a child is hungry and creates a safe and social Breakfast Club environment for students and supports positive relationships between peers, staff, and volunteers.
The Breakfast Club is run by our School Chaplain and supported by the wellbeing team. The program provides students with a variety of healthy, Victorian-grown, or manufactured breakfast foods. These include Oats, Muesli, Vita Brits, Wholegrain Cheerios, Milk, Baked Beans, Canned Fruit, Fruit Cups, Fresh Apples, and Honey.
The breakfast club runs weekly on Monday & Wednesday mornings from 8.30 am until 8.50 am in the Learning Pod.
